House Rules

House Rules

House Rules are rules adopted by the community to either fill in gaps left by the game developer or to clarify a point that the Rules as Written (RAW) don't cover. In such cases, the original rule and where it's located (Book and page number) will be listed, with the modified text struck through and the amended text added in red. If the house rule is more of a suggestion than an actual rule change, then it will be noted as such.

Rule Suggestions & Clarifications

Starship  Scale Adjustment (Core 225)

Because individual NPC crew are not being tracked, each NPC ship takes multiple Turns during each Round - one Turn for each point of Scale the ship has - representing the individual actions of that ship's crew. However, each Task attempted after the first during each Round from any single role increases in Difficulty by 1.

Suggestion: Because a starship may not be fully crewed to match the ship's scale, such as a Galaxy Class having a scale of 6 but only 4 available PCs, the GM is encouraged to allow multiple actions by the crew to match the ship's scale. So in the example above, 2 of the PCs would act twice per Turn for a total of 6 actions. This is to prevent the players from being disadvantaged from a larger scale vessel such as a scale 6 NPC vessel having more actions during a turn.
